Learn to Gamble on Craps – Tips and Techniques: Don’t Throw in the Towel

[ English | Deutsch | Español | Français | Italiano ]

Through out your craps-playing life, you’ll certainly have more losing sessions than winners. Go along with it. You must learn to play in reality, not in dream land. Craps is constructed for the player to not win.

Say, after two hours, the dice have whittled your chips down to $20. You haven’t observed a smokin toss in ages. Although squandering is as much a part of craps as acquiring a win, you can not help but feel awful. You begin to think about why you even thought about coming to Vegas to begin with. You were solid for two hours, but it didn’t work. You need to win so much that you are deprived of control of your common sense. You’re down to your very last 20 dollars for the game and you have little oomph left. Walk away!

You can never give up, never bow out, never consider, "This blows, I’m going to place the remainder on the Hard 4 and, if I am defeated, then I will head out. But should I win, I will be right back where I began." That’s the stupidest action you can perform at the end of a losing night.

If you can not acknowledge losing, you have no reason to be placing bets. If you cannot bear not winning a particular game, then quit that game and take your money. Do not piss your cash away on a horrible bet praying to hit it big and get your money back all at once.

If it is a horrible night and you are deprived of a lot rapidly, then acknowledge defeat and cash out with the ten dollars, fifteen dollars, or 20 dollars that you have left. Use that leftover twenty dollars, go have a beverage in the lounge, enjoy the live music. Put it in a nickel video poker machine and perhaps hit a 1,000-coin win for $50. Keep it in your wallet, locate your girlfriend, and spend some time with her. Do not relent. Do something other than pee your money away on a non-winning proposition wager. Do not toss in the towel.
